Lunch with Professor Patrick Hayden

Join Professor Patrick Hayden, a physicist and computer scientist active in quantum computing, along with other students for a free lunch and discussion.

Wednesday April 10th 1PM - 2PM. Location will be announced to participants.

Registration for the event opens up on Friday April 5th at 9AM PT. Space is limited. First-come, first-served. Please only register if you can attend for the entire duration of the event. This event is for Stanford undergraduate and graduate students only.

Stanford’s SystemX organization has sponsored a class EE 310 that is hosting some talks related to quantum computing. The class meets in Huang 018 this quarter and all classes are on Thursdays at 4:30 PM. No need to register.

A new course called Quantum Computer Programming (CS 269Q) is starting this quarter. The course is taught by Professor Dan Boneh and Dr. Will Zeng, who is active in the quantum computing industry.

“The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced a plan to provide $40 million for research aimed at developing new algorithms and software for quantum computers… Applications will be open to universities, national laboratories, industry, and nonprofits, with awards selected competitively by peer review.”
